I am not a coder but have created a great site www.masskiting.com which is in Joomla.

So I have a Joomla problem!

Basically I tried some mods http://drupal.org/node/249643#comment-829971
This one worked a bit but the data was truncated and not complete as it was made for Joomla 1.0

I also saw http://drupal.org/project/joomla but it is also for Joomla 1.5 and even though I dont mind going to 5.7 to Drupal 6.

But I am not sure if for 300 articles I should continue to try and import or just start copy and pasting. Does anyone have a new suggestion that can make this transition and easy one to get going on Drupal 6 with my old Joomla site.

Thank you in advance. Seems like getting people like away from Joomla should be important. I am not a Coder but I am aware that I want to become part of the Drupal community. But to do so is very hard at this point in time it seems and all I want are articles and not users.

I was going to try http://drupal.org/project/joomla. I have set up the D5.7 but it says Joomla 1.0 and I have 1.5.

Then I found http://drupal.org/node/207258 but as a non coder I do not know what to do with this code. But after thinking it over the main articles I need are session reports which I will create a Content type for. The content type I will have a date selection as it is an event for the calendar. Even if I import 100 articles then they will be stories only. Maybe I need to just copy and paste because of this.

I think at this point I need to throw in the towel... Start concentrating on my community creating new content and importing the legacy articles as I can manually.

Unless this is crazy..

[module] Convert Joomla! 1.0 to Drupal 6 This mod ended up in the end after deeper review to have proved to have done fairly well. So I will call this case closed.
