When you put a quiz in your node and place the node in a block and you then start taking a quiz.....you start to leave the current page you are on and it then follows the node for each question you do....i.e., I place the quiz node in a block on everypage....I then take the quiz on the home page, it then leaves the home page and goes to the page that the second question is on and then third, etc......

Quiz are not supported by node blocks.
