I've spent the last 2 to 3 months (weekends and evenings - this unfortunately isn't my day job) developing Understand Rap (http://www.understandrap.com) with Drupal 6. It's my first site, and I would like to thank everyone who replied to any of my posts on drupal.org, the contributors to all the modules I use, and the kind and patient people of #drupal-support, #drupal-themes, and #drupal on IRC/Freenode for helping me along the way. I really have appreciated how welcoming and patient everyone in the Drupal community has been.
Some of the modules I used are CCK, Views, Timeline, GMap, Voting API, Fivestar, Extra Voting Forms, Modr8, Revision Moderation, NodeReferrer Create, NodeComment, Terms of Use, Unique Field, Validate Age, CAPTCHA, http:BL, and many more.
The theme I used is Framework.
If you'd like to add it on Digg, del.icio.us, or any other social bookmark sharing-type site, that would be great (there's a ShareIt button in the left sidebar region).
And if you think the concept is interesting, educational, cute, funny, clever, or whatever...we also have a Facebook Page you can become a fan of: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Understand-Rap/43989306987
Thanks for your time and expect much more from Understand Rap, there are a lot more features I hope to roll out soon.

love the concept, althought
love the concept, althought i dont listen to much music these days. i thought there would music samples, unless i missed them. love the timeline and maps idea. the design is a little sterile for what what i think of rap, but perhaps since its for folks who dont understand rap it might be okay. an introductory media lesson would have been nice. good job!
thanks for the reply and
thanks for the reply and kind words! i don't really want to get into music samples nor do i care to get into complete lyrics for songs, as those types of sites are everywhere. i realize the design isn't really cutting-edge or anything, and you're right that people who aren't really tech-savvy seem to be a big demographic, although this site could conceivably attract parents who want to know what the music their children are listening to is all about, people who like the sound of rap music but don't really "get it", people who know a lot about rap music, or other people who i haven't even considered yet. the cool thing about drupal is that i have been working on a couple alternate themes and could switch the appearance at any time! :)
Excellent!
This is really wonderful, both in concept and execution. With your permission, I'm going to use it as a positive example in my upcoming Lynda.com video series about presenting information online using Drupal -- see http://www.tomgeller.com/content/new-lyndacom-video-series-presenting-in....
Congrats again!

Urban Dictionary for lyrics
Brilliant idea, sort of an Urban Dictionary for lyrics... good stuff :)
I notice you're not using css or javascript aggregation. You should really enable that (see tip #1), it'll make your site load a lot faster.

Missing info in InfoWindow?
I'm not sure you are aware of this http://www.understandrap.com/map? Think it has been there before but not now. And yes I know making maps in Drupal is NOT easy. Maybe my discussion can be of use for you http://groups.drupal.org/node/159584.
I think you have a very neat
I think you have a very neat design. the post above about the lack of info on the map view is something to look at. Likewise, you should try and expand on the taxonomy as it is somewhat disappointing not to have albums being listed a la wikipedia...Perhaps an import or your personal stance on albums could be the answer to this small issue.
