I'd really like to see an individual counter reset feature on the download counter page, perhaps implemented as a checkbox per item, that would clear the specified counters in the DB.

The reset links appear on the download count page for anyone with the 'administer site configuration' permission. Please test it out and open an issue if you encounter any problems.
