I just noticed that every submited scoop is written simultaneously to both tables "nod" and "node_revisions". Is this the way it is supposed to be?

The pligg_import module also duplicated all imported stories into both tables.

In "Content type" settings, revisions checkbox is unchecked.

Yes. This is how Drupal works. This is true for any node type.
