1) Among the provinces listed for the country "Belgium", Brussels is missing.

When customers fill in the delivery information, and select Belgium as country, they should also have the option of choosing 'Brussels'. (Belgium has 10 provinces + 1 region Brussels = 11 )

2) Also, half of the provinces listed are French speaking, and should preferably have their names in French (right now all provinces are in Dutch)

So the list of provinces should be:
- West-Vlaanderen
- Oost-Vlaanderen
- Antwerpen
- Limburg
- Vlaams-Brabant
- Brussel/Bruxelles
- Brabant-Wallon
- Liège
- Hainaut
- Namur
- Luxembourg

Thanks for the feedback in an area where we're weak. A quick diagnostic question... do e-commerce sites generally have this field available for Belgian shipping? In other words, is the province regularly used in addressing packages and envelopes?

If so, I can make the changes using the list you specified above. Otherwise, it might make sense to just not include these provinces as zones at all... really need to make this a better system in general. : P

The province is often used on e-commerce sites, but is actually not important for addressing. So if you would let the province out, it would be okay too.
But now it is listed as a required field.

But there are differences in taxes between the Dutch and French speaking provinces. (it's a federal country, with different regulations in the Dutch speaking and French speaking part)
So if the province would be used for calculating sales tax somewhere in the module, i guess it could be best to keep it.

Alrighty, thanks again. I'll make the updates and post a patch here, probably tomorrow afternoon unless someone gets to it before me.

Ok, I'm committing the attached fix to core. It should rename your Belgium file to belgium_56_2.cif and create an update function. You can update to include your suggested changes. I entered the zones the way you suggested, but just be warned that the zone select box alphabetizes those options.

I'm sorry to re-open this, but I'm not aware of any tax differences between the communities, can you provide us with more information?

i also don't have an example of tax differences between the regions that would affect this module, but it's possible that there exist some. And i do now that some taxes are different.

No sweat. Not enough reason to reopen the issue... the zone names needed to be fixed regardless. : )
