I think it is more logical if the package of this module would be «Image» and not "Other."

True. Didn't really think about it when I set it to "Other", about 5 thousand years ago :) Will make the change

No, it shouldn't. There is only one .module file so there is no need to create a package for it. Packages are only needed for modules that have a bunch of sub modules that need to be grouped together.
