shortform error crashes system

Description
Hey,
I enabled the shortform module and I enabled the spy to a new content type I created. However, when I try to enable the block in my block admin interface my system crashes and I get this error:
Fatal error: Cannot use object of type stdClass as array in /home/*****/public_html/sites/all/modules/shortform/shortform.module on line 170
I have to remove the module from the modules directory in order to get my system back online.
Do you have any suggestions?
