Issue Summary
I would like to suggest a potentially useful feature for the macro editor:
A 'preview' or 'live-read-out' of the current co-ords of the cursor position on the map, so if I'm trying to plot a point at known co-ords (such as a GPS postion) I can move the cursor around until the co-ords match up with what I want, and then click to mark it.
I'm guessing that's fairly easy because it simply displays info that is already running through the javascript?
I will admit, my interest is in non-urban locations; route planning for orientation on land and navigation at sea so I'm more interested in lat/lon than postal codes. I realise this is stretching the envelope a bit, but if possible I would be very happy!

I pretty sure that is possible and not very difficult. The only thing I will have to figure out is where I want to display it.
I will probably add that to the next version of GMap that I hope to have out in a couple of weeks.

It seems that this is more difficult than I thought. What I am planning is that the next version of the macro creator will be significantly upgraded.
What I am planning on doing is that there will be multiple modes. In one mode when you click it will tell you what the long/latitude are, in another mode it will add a point or a line. I will try and set it up so you can change modes with the keyboard so that you can click to find your location and then if you like that location you can change the mode with the keyboard and so you can click to add a point (or add a point to a line, etc...)
I think this will achieve what you want, without being too difficult to implement.
Unfortunately, this major changes to the macrocreator is probably not going to be part of the release I am hoping to finish for this weekend. It will probably not be done for a few more weeks.

This should be doable as an addon, moving to gmap_addons.
