I blocked the custom Event content type in the subscription setting, but the Subscribe link still shows up. When users create new Events they cannot go and manually add the node name to the blocked list. Is there a way to hide the link based on content type?
thanks

salvisPlease read "Content settings" on admin/settings/subscriptions carefully...
Is it not working as described?

lilon commentedI have selected (highlighted) my (custom) event type both in the Unlisted and in the Blocked content types lists. However, when a new event instance is created the subscribe link still shows up at the bottom. It only disappear if I add the new node Id to the list of blocked nodes, but users who create new events wont be able to add the new node ids to the list.

salvisYes, I see now that something is broken. Blocking your (custom) event type should do what you want.
I have to investigate...

salvisThe bug was that the red '¤' symbol wasn't displayed, which alerts you to the fact that the link is displayed only for user 1 and users with the subscribe to all content types permission.
I fixed this in both -dev versions; they'll be repackaged within 12 hours.
