is there still a maintainer for scheduler? or is there an alternative way to schedule nodes I haven't heard about yet?
if not: Scheduler seems like a highly important module too me.
There is a maintainer (me), although a number of people work on the module. I will update the module before Drupal 4.7 is released. There are a number of theme system bugs which prevent me from using the Drupal 4.7 betas at the moment. I am working on patches to fix these core issues before I begin work on updating any contrib modules.
In my opinion, scheduler (or the likes) should be core anyway ... After all, scheduling is a very crucial functionality for any professional installation.
I know, we shouldn't have done that. But we just finished a project based on beta 4. Everythings fine - except that we didn't get Scheduler running (we tried the Form Updater module, which is great - but seems like we're not up to that task ...)
I need the scheduler urgently. The new year is already older than 2 months.
@TDobes,
you say, it work several people on the module. Why does nothing happen? What is the time frame? Does the module become still in this year finished for 4.7?

wulff commentedPlease see http://drupal.org/node/52545 for a patch which updates scheduler.module to use the Form API.
