I must be going blind. How do I do this?
Administer › Content management › Taxonomy
then Edit Vocabulary for chosen list
resulting panel includes Name, Description, Weight, etc
but final button is Save with no Delete option.
Something I've set up incorrectly?
Tried deleting all terms, but no change.
Am using admin account.
Have explicitly set perms for another userID set up especially for the purpose, but still no joy.
Please advise,

Is the delete button there for the first created user?
No the Delete button is not
No the Delete button is not there/where I expected to find it.
That is very strange - the
That is very strange - the delete button should be right next to the 'Save' button on the vocabulary edit page. It might be that your theme is hiding it somehow. You might try switching the Admin theme to one of the ones that ships with Drupal.

I haven't added an Admin
I haven't added an Admin Them, nor have I changed from the default theme other than to add my own logo image.
Further information
Have added two more vocabularies. One is only for Forum Topics (per the one in error, above), and one which covers Blogs, Web pages, etc.
Under Edit Vocabulary the two new ones offer a Delete button next to the Save, as you would expect.
Returning to the original issue, the Delete button just isn't there???
Ok, so I'm not blind - that's a relief!
Still no solution though

Is this a self created taxonomy?
Or are we talking about the forum taxononmy? that is generated by the forum.module?
If the forum? you can't delete it as doing so causes problems with the forum.module. That said, it's the only taxonomy that I don't see a delete button for.
I certainly created it, but
I certainly created it, but whether from a forum or not, I can't recall. Certainly removing the forum module returned the Delete button!
Many thanks,

Same deal here.
No deletey.
Tried default forum and poof!
Tried default theme and poof! There it is!
I wonder what else it hiding... lol might explain a lot.
No Delete/Remove button, either!
Something's wrong. I can't get a delete button no matter what I try.
how I fixed
I tried the above suggested and changed my theme to the default, and there was the delete button, then changed theme back. good to go...
Same issue solved
I had the same issue and solved it without changing the theme.
It's a bit strange, but my theme was not set "enabled" (although it was). I checked the "enabled" button, and then I could delete my vocab...
On some admin themes (eg.
On some admin themes (eg. commerce kickstart) the delete links are smaller and at the bottom, to the far right of the page. They can be easy to miss.
Delete button is on the Edit page (for me)
I didn't notice but this is listed in the "That is very strange" comment above. I found the Delete button next to the Save button on the Edit page. That is "very strange" and non-intuitive and non-consistent. Why is the Delete button on the Taxonomy page that lists the vocabularies, alongside the Edit button as is normal in most (all) other content list pages.
