Ok so I figured out how to get it off the ground and going halfway. I have created a slider and it slide and does everything but when I go to the front page I see this (look at file attached below). How can I get it on to the front page?

That's the teaser view of the node. Slider will only show on the "Full view" of the node.

So you need to change your site configuration settings so that the front page is node/xx where xx is the node id of the slider you want on front!
