Speaking of, when would I turn javascript off?

Which I think is a relevant article on why people would turn JavaScript off. But, I also think he is dead wrong - I was just part of a security audit for a Windows based network - and the consultants only talked about JavaScript on our mail server, and viewing email in Outlook.

They did say get everyone out of IE6 as that becomes a viable option for us (They have a really old system in place) and upgrade to the latest service packs on all end user PC's, and we had to lock down the server harder. They actually had more recommendations for Linux problems and Apple security holes we did not know about.

I can't personally think of a reason to disable jscript with modern browsers. Does anyone have any insight? It seems like it would cripple you.

I always add a noscript to my stuff, so it degrades nicely, and you at least have a warning. I think that's key - degrading successfully.

I think the last time I disabled jscript was like 2002.

I want to know about how you feel about disabling jscript - because some of my modules make use of Ajax-ian, JSON, AHAH, with Drupal and it seems like I need to be sensitive to disabling jscript - since my perception is that no one disables jscript and I guess I'm wrong?
