Hello,

Using D6.8... I've simply placed the favicon.ico at the root of the site and was hoping it'd show it properly in the IE address, etc but It's still rendering the Druplicon image.

You can see it here: http://www.spinninghat.com/favicon.ico

so it's there, but I can't think what else I need to do?

If someone, can help that'd be great, Thanks...

Go to admin > site building > themes and set the icon you want to use in the "Shortcut icon settings" section

Yes... Cheers dude!...

I've just unticked the default box and left my own favicon.ico at the root and it's worked nicely.

Hope this is an Ok way to acheive it :)

That's the way to do it for the theme.
For HTML pages, you need to put a tag and the path+name within the head tags.
