Issue Summary

I really want to use Greybox for my site, but I am encountering an issue that is a show stopper. Whenever I click on a link to view a Greybox popup, the popup never goes away after hitting "close". Well, the box goes away, but a "ghost" image of the website remains on the original page. The links, etc on the original page become nonfunctional. When the mouse is moved around the page, the links from the greybox popup show up in the status bar. Clicking one of the invisible links will actually bring you to the corresponding page.

I had originally tried greybox with D5, but had the same issue, so I attempted to move everything to D6 hoping that it was an issue with D5's jquery support rather than greybox. Apparently, that is not the case.

I am using a Mac and Safari and FF 2 as my browsers. They both have the same issue.

I'm getting the same problem. (IE7 and Firefox 3.0.8) I used default themes, tried using both auto and fixed widths for the greybox, and disabled a few things (DHTML menu, Devel, Localization Client, etc), and the bug still persists.

This is the same as "flash reappears when scrolling" issue. I create a solution for it there.

I am not sure if this is the correct fix but worked for me.

There seems to be a different approach in #365276: flash reappears when scrolling
