Maybe a little "delete" icon can appear next to a user's status so that admins can quickly delete inappropriate ones (ideally without having to go to the drupal admin pages - make it quick and easy - single click).

Are you sure you are posting this to the right project? Facebook Status is a single-user application for a single-user blog, fetching the status from Facebook, and presumably the single user is also the administrator. There are a couple of other projects that allow multiple users to post status updates directly to Drupal. Are you using one of those?

Anyone with the Administer Statuses permission can easily delete whatever is in the status from anywhere that the status can be edited.
