At the Missouri History Museum, we have developed a full featured CMS built on Drupal. We took full advantage of the CCK and Views modules to manage exhibits, events, room rentals, publications, tours, education programs and more.
I will be presenting a half day workshop called an Intro to Drupal for Museums at the Museums and the Web 2009 conference in Indianapolis this April. At the workshop, I'll give an overview of how Drupal can be a great CMS tool for museums.

Video or slideshow?
David,
Was there any archive of youe presentation for those of us that were not fortunate enough to go to your talk? I was hoping to watch a video or slideshow of your talk. I am currently trying to redesign a museum site myself for the Art Museum of Southeast Texas http://amset.org in drupal. This will be first project with drupal and I am basically helping the museum for free to learn so I can learn drupal for future clients. I am new to drupal and any advice would be helpful. Thanks.
If you've presentation materials ...
I'd like to see them.
I'd like to see more energy in museums going on-line, and using drupal as the CMS.
