Workshop Registration Module

I am pretty new to Drupal and I trying to build a site that offers workshop registration. A user should be able to sign up for one or multiple workshops and pay for them online. The workshops should also be listed on a calendar.
Would I use signup or uebercart or anything else.
Any help/direction is appreciated.
