Description

This seems like the obvious next evolutionary step from the Side Content module. Much more powerful, clearly. Great for new sites. But for existing sites, there's still the migration problem. Do you (or any CCK Blocks users reading this) have any suggestions for the best way to migrate Side Content to a CCK field, for use w/ CCK Blocks? Pointer in the right direction would be helpful -- e.g., if there's a discussion somewhere generally about migrating from a custom field to CCK fields.

Did you get ahead with this issue? I don't know the sidecontent module yet, but it sounds very similar to cck blocks. What's your actual state of affairs?

This is currently a non-issue. The site I was concerned with at the time turned out to have no content in Sidecontent fields. We have a D5 site out there that we will probably have to convert at some point, but that will be at least 2 years down the road. So, no, haven't done any additional work on this, sorry.

I have not looked at what the usage is on Sidecontent. It may be that it's not cost-effective for you to worry about it. If I'm the only person who's asked, I'd wager that's true.

As you can see with the age of that issue and the number of comments, it seems to be a non-issue for other users. I mark this issue as fixed. Please don't hesitate to re-open it or create a new issue, if it comes up again.
