[catpath-raw] does not work. It is not replaced by the catpath, but appears in the title as "[catpath-raw]".

are you sure [catpath-raw] is available? not all tokens can be used in all places.
I don't have this module installed but double check that [catpath-raw] is actually available in the list of replacements.

that doesn't necessarily mean its available ;-)

Tokens work based on "scope". catpath-raw is only available when dealing in the taxonomy term scope. If, say, you've put that in the note type "blog" page title settings then - it being a node and in the node scope - means it wont necessarily pick up the data from the term scope.
