Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! By default now it's directionality is inherited from the HTML, and in RTL pages it's RTL. This makes my head hurt and sometimes almost explode, so I submit a patch.
This was tested against drupal 6.9, but it should be trivial to port to trunk.
