I have been hosting a Drupal flash video site on Cirtex for nearly a year now and it work absolutely fine. However, recently, when uploading video, it displays the following error message:

shell_exec() has been disabled for security reasons

I have contacted Cirtex who say that this option has recently been disabled server wide for security reasons.

Any work arounds to get this working on Cirtex again?

That's really frustrating that they would pull functionality away from their clients without any forewarning. I'd personally call them up and ask for a refund for my most recent hosting fee and then work on finding a new hosting company.

Is anyone else having this problem with Cirtex?
I was expecting this forum to be filled with similar messages, but at the moment, it seems I am the only one.

Cirtex Web Hosting...absolutely, hands-down the worst web host I have encountered to date. Have a client who has been using their VPS service. They don't respond completely or accurately to support tickets. Cause considerable delay with vague and incomplete responses to tickets. You cannot get them on the phone -- even the sales department! Worthless. Run, run, far away from Cirtex.
