Hi,
FCKEditor has stopped working in IE 7. Our users started reporting this problem a few months ago. The Body field would simply be completely blank, not even a plain textfield was displayed (See the attached screenshot). There are no error messages or anything displayed, just a big white space in the browser where the FCKEditor should be displayed.
This is not a problem for our Firefox users. What could be the problem with IE?
We are using FCKeditor version 2.6.3.
Much appreciated,
Kevin

Jorrit commentedIs this still a problem? Try upgrading FCKeditor.

StevenK commentedI confirm that. It is not working in IE 7, and in Drupal 6

Jorrit commentedHave you tried 6.x-2.0-beta1? Is the problem also occuring for a standard theme? Has it ever worked in the Ad Novus theme?

kevin.mcnamee@mailbox.org commentedThe solution was to clean out the browser cache. The problem most likely occured after the FCKEditor was upgraded. However, this is not an optimal solution as the user must complain before we can tell them how to solve the problem.

Jorrit commentedUnfortunately thats inherit to javascript utilities. Cleaning the cache is the first thing you need to do when something related to javascript does not work, especially after an upgrade.

lindsayo commentedI'm having a similar problem. Clearing caches does not resolve the issue. If I click on the link for 'Switch to plain text editor', then again 'Switch to rich text editor', the body field and FCKEditor show up instantly. Gone again on page reload
