Description

Would be a nice feature to be able to create many blocks and manage them as many sidecontent blocks. Easy for clients... much better than give them access to blocks management to update their pages.

I agree that this would be a nice feature. Could permissions be set on certain blocks and have them listed with a checkbox. The user (or client) could just select the blocks they want on a page.

Does this issue blur the line between Sidecontent and the Blocks.module? I think it (Blocks.module) needs to be rethought in this area as it is confusing to explain to users/clients how to add/edit/delete a block when it resides outside of the content editing area. I must admit that sometimes I forget I have to get out of a page and go to the Blocks area to add/edit/delete blocks. It doesn't seem as user-friendly as it could be.

Agreed. This would be EXCELLENT to have.

yes, i agree and would need this too.

And with flexiblock and multiple side-blocks we could reach stunning content layouts!

Not too hard to code I think, and would certainly be quite powerful now that we can add multiple block regions.

Hopefully I'll have the time to code this, or someone will provide a patch.

Anything ever come of this?

This is an excellent module, but it would be even better if it allowed multiple blocks. I'd really appreciate if somebody wanted to take this on or give some hints on how we can go about doing it ourselves...

Thanks a lot!

I would like to see this too.

My site has multiple regions. It would be great to allow a node to target multiple blocks, which I would potentially assign to different regions.
