When I try and create a template for my of my own content types the template edit text areas are not pre-populated as the help text says it should.
Also, if I want to disable the template to have a look at the default output, my template is gone when I want to turn it on again.

Bremen Saki commentedI'm also seeing the first part of this - no pre-population at all when creating a new template for a content type.

jptavan commentedDuplicate : #283315: textarea are not pre-populated for some CCK content type
Comment #3
tsvenson commentedOki, that's a dupe about the pre-populating.
What about the problem with disabling a template? Even though I untick the checkbox I still want the template stored so I can enable it later on. Only time I want the template erased is when I either manually remove it or delete the code in the textarea.

dgtlmoon commentedTested in current 6.x-1.2
If I..
- click Affect teaser output[*]
- edit a new template and submit
- uncheck Affect teaser output[*] and submit
then repeat steps above, the original template changes are still in the textarea..
