Not much is done to promote / celebrate new members, including sorting alphabetical rather than by most recent.
I'd like to help celebrate these new members. Most specifically, I want to tie automatic Twitter announcements of new memberships to the Association twitter account. For that, I need an RSS feed of
Ideally, the feed would be very simple, and contain the name and the website URL -- posts to Twitter would then look like: New member: Mr. Example, http://example.com
This same method could be used to power an Association "widget" -- this is in some ways like an old school web ring. I would happily run such a widget on my website, and I believe other people would as well. This would be another benefit of membership, and also promote the membership process itself.
Can CiviCRM generate such feeds?

deviantintegral commentedIt sounds like from this post that CiviCRM 2.2 will expose the information to views, which can be used to generate an RSS feed. I don't know what their release schedule is, but perhaps the functionality can be backported.
