This is not precisely a module issue.

When you set up an account to use cdn2, apparently you have to set the account up for the exact full domain, i.e. www.yourdomain.com, and it will not work with, say sub.yourdomain.com, or admin.yourdomain.com

So, for instance, we have a development server, beta.ourdomain.com, but our live server is www.ourdomain.com. Someone else might have guests visiting something like www.theirdomain.com, as well as groups.theirdomain.com, and want to use the same CDN2 content and service in both domains (uploads might happen at both the standard www subdomain, as well as to their discussion groups subdomain).

This shouldn't be an issue, provided that there is a primary domain that receives xmlrpc callbacks. Fetch and playback of video is not restricted to specific domains.
