And I'm the unlucky one that needs 31... not happy with having to modify 2 lines just for this. Now will have to do this everytime I update. Please raise the number of allowed characters to something more sensible.

Sorry about that. I'm not sure why I had a limit of 30 on there. I'm guessing at some point the MyBrand textarea on FeedBurner.com had the same limit, but since I last checked it has been removed. I'll get a fix in the 6.x-1.x version today for you.
