We talked at least a half year ago and this project should not exist. Of course, I am not surprised it does and I know this will not achieve anything but still I should at least make a public comment.

Because we explained to Ryan, in detail, why storing private messages in nodes is a fundamentally wrong idea and focusing energies into privatemsg would be better for everyone.

I'm sorry, can someone forward me the post on why PM's shouldn't be nodes.

I am working on modifying this module, so I'm not really using it for "Private Messaging". I'm using it as an internal mail system. Just looking for reasons why one wouldn't want to use it.

This project is where it is and I don't have any good reasons to just shut it down. The code is already written, and people are using it (myself included). When it comes down to what to do with the rest of my time, I'd rather spend it contributing to Ubercart or working out ways to contribute directly to Drupal. You'll have my full cooperation there whenever possible.

Interesting comments by Moshe in that chat log, as well. If there are problems with node access scalability and performance, perhaps a module like this can even be part of the drive to get more eyes on fixing that. : ?
