Google Maps and CCK

I've been trying to piece this together for the past couple days with little success and a lot of confusion. Here's my goal:

I have an event node type that I'd like to have a Location field for. The user would enter the address of the venue in that field, and on the presentation of the node, a Google Map of the location would be shown.

I'm thinking I'd try the Location module with Location CCK enabled to create the field and use GMap and the dev version of the GMap Addons module to build a map view of the address. Does that make any sense?

Is there some simple solution I'm overlooking here?
