Issue Summary
Input lines which drupal uses to ask for emails must be LTR, as emails are "always" LTR. In theory they can contain RTL chars, but this will not become reality in the next few years.

Try running the patch with -P9 (!) from the "email" directory...
Anyway, attaching a new patch, this one should apply without -P
