allow multiple auto joined chat rooms + persistence

Perhaps we can create the ability to autojoin multiple rooms upon connect. I tried it by making additional channel names separated by a comma and a space like this:

channel1, channel2, channel3

But only the first room was auto joined.

Also, are there other ways to list the chat function, other than a link and on it's own page? Perhaps it could be part of the home page? I'm not intimately familiar with drupal 6 yet...maybe it's possible already to have the chatroom and other content / media on one page.

Persistence:

If the above is done, it would be nice if the room / channel could be persistent, across multiple pages without re-entering / logging...just always in one of the blocks, if desired.
