if would be great to be able to configure when an email is sent when the user updates the profile... with a list of checkboxes of all the profile fields... and select only those who want to trigger the notification... I don't care when a user changes some info but I would like to be notified if a user changes a specific profile field that I have to manually check in a database.

The Drupal 7 branch will not receive further features. Feel free to open a new issue for the 2.x branch (Drupal 9+).
