Views & Pathauto issue

The instructions in the readme.txt were for cateogry/vocab/term/term/...

if you want to use category/term/term/.. then make the following changes.

1. Change the view argument to tid with allow multiples selected.
2. Go to the Path Auto configuration (admin/build/path/pathauto)
3. Change the for taxonomy to 'category/[catpath-raw]'
4. Remove all of the current alias for taxonomy (admin/build/path/delete_bulk, select vocabularies and terms and click 'Delete aliases now')
5. Bulk create the taxonomy aliases. (admin/build/path/pathauto and select 'Bulk generate aliases for terms that are not aliased' and click 'save configuration')
6. Rebuild the taxonomy menu (admin/content/taxonomy/edit/vocabulary/%vid, select 'Select to rebuild the menu on submit' and press save)

Please let me know how this work. If this does not give you the expected result, I will dig more when I get home from work.

You may have a corrupt menu tables. I had this happen when I upgraded from a previous 6.x version of taxonomy menu. I added some code to the uninstall of the newest dev version cleans up most of the corruption. Hopefully this will help you also.

I have one more idea before I ask you to start sending me some table dumps. Make sure the path on the view is "kategori/%" and not the default path of "taxonomy/term/%" This is because we changed the path using pathauto and the page is no longer taxonomy/term/%.

I see the issue you are talking about now. This isn't working as I expected. I think it's because arguments are passed as the original URL instead of the alias.

Ok. I've done a little digging and testing and here is what I have found. It's a little complicated so I'll do my best to explain.

The module uses menu_link_save to create the menu links. When this function runs it takes the url you pass it and looks for a match on the menu router table. This work fine if you want to use 'taxonomy/term/%' because the taxonomy module automatically has this path register. When you apply path auto it changes the url that is sent to menu_link_save to 'category/[catpath-raw]' (or whatever the alias is). This url ('category/%') is not register by default so the menu link is not created. When the view was created with the path of 'category/%' it registered that url so when the aliased menu links were passed to menu_link_save it crated the menu links. The problem is that when you navigate to a alias url it actually passes the non-alias path is to drupal. So 'taxonomy/term/%' is sent instead of the alias 'category/%'. In my testing it appeared to work because I was using a node Row style which would output the same as the default taxonomy page.

I have a terrible workaround until I get this fixed.
Create a view with a path of 'category/%' so the menu links can be created.
Use the default taxonomy view with the path of taxonomy/term/% to control what is actually in the view.
This will only display the terms for that particular term.

I do apologize for this and should have a fix this weekend.

After all of my work, it turns out that there was an easy fix. I was trying to save the menu links with the alias name instead of the normal path. I have correct this and the lastest dev should have this resolved.

i'll look into this. Make sure you fully uninstall the module and not just disable/enable.

what settings do you have on admin/settings/performance?

Are you still having issues? Have you looked over the examples in the readme?
