I am experiencing two issues with the profile module:

1. Created a DOB field as part of a user profile. Field shows up under account settings. After entering a date of birth and saving this information, next time the profile is retrieved DOB is displayed as: 1900, January 1. This seems to be related to DOB only as other fields do seem to retain previously made changes.

2. When fiddling around with the visibility settings in admin/settings/profile, the two "public" settings do not yield the expected result. Content of those fields is not displayed, either on profile page (setting 3) or on profile page and member list pages (setting 4). Interestingly enough, the main field categories (ie History, Personal Information etc) are displayed.

Can anyone cross-validate these issues?

Downloaded new version of HEAD on 11/25. Problem still exists.

Setting priority a notch higher. Profile module is fairly unusable with this issue.

The problem is not specific to profile module, I can't use Date Form Element, I can't save the data ...

This appears to be fixed in at least the 4.7.0-beta3 version (maybe sooner) and following.

You may call me a liar and reactivate the bug if I have totally gotten it wrong and it is not yet fixed, :^)
