Our governing body requires that we use a disclaimer page/redirect for all external links on our site. We've installed this module and set it up, but for some reason external links bypass the redirect page completely and just go straight to their destination. Sorry I don't have much more information than that. I'm wondering if there is some step we are missing or if this could be a more complicated problem. Any ideas are appreciated.

This may be a more complicated issue. It's hard to say without more detailed information. I am definitely not able to test this module on a huge multitude of configurations.

I would suggest a few top level things:

  • There is an option for the time limit that determines how the page stays up for. Make sure that is set and try large numbers.
  • Switch browsers
  • Firebug
  • Some sort of PHP debugger

Module doesn't work with me at all. External Links are not changed.

Again, this is hard to diagnose with so little information.

Have you tried creating a Input Format that only has the External Link Filter in it, then creating content with that Input Format. This would tell you if it is actually this module or a compound problem with other filters.
