Cannot hide location information in CCK field

I might be missing something obvious (I'm new to Drupal) but if someone knows how to solve this I would really appreciate it.

Here's what lead to the issue: I created a content type in CCK and added a location field. I under "Display Settings" I checked "Coordinates," "Country name," and "Country" because I didn't want those fields to display. However, all the fields continued to display in the content I created. No matter what I checked under "Hide fields from display:," everything still displayed.

Is this a bug or is there an easy way to fix this?

BTW, I do have the Gmap and Location modules installed.
