news module or news node using ckk

Hi...

I'd like to have a small journal or news paper in my website.

I downloaded the e-journal module but it doesn't work in Drupal 6.9...

So, I got this article at

The above article explain how to create an news node using CKK in the Drupal version 5.x...

Could I implement the steps of that article using Drupal version 6.9x? Is this the best way for a news node?
