Description

I'm using SWF Tools with SWFObject2.
In "File handling" if I leave blank the "Directory in files where playlist/xml files can be cached",
only when using Garland theme, when I click on ''swftools/handling'', the theme dissapears and all the files contained in default/files get permenantly erased from the server.

I'm new to drupal so it mignt be something I did wrong but I just did a fresh new install and the issue happened again...

Thanks

No - you didn't do anything wrong! That looks like a long term bug that no-one ever spotted before. I have put a patch on the module that will be in the next release.

In the meantime, don't set your playlist path to your file system root! Keep it tucked away in playlists, or some other subfolder!!!!!!

I patched this for both version 5 and 6 of SWF Tools.

It's a quick fix to suppress the deletion if you try to use the top level as your playlist source, so it's not very elegant, but I think it's more important to prevent anyone losing data.

I'll need to come up with a better fix, but that is now not quite so urgent!
