Forward Module -- in wrong place?

Hi all!

Well, I've searched the forums and the module page and no luck. I'm not certain if I have a module problem or if I've done something else a bit wonky....

I've enable the forward module, and placed the block for it at the "bottom of content" and configured it to be the drop-down panel

It shows up there.. BUT.. I unlike other modules that we've done this with it seems to become "part" of the article...

in other words, unlike other modules, the form code ends up showing up in things like the article body sent from the newsletter module, and it shows in the printer friendly pages as well. Not to mention that there's no way to move it down below other modules on the page.

The interference with the newsletter module is the biggest issue, because instead of sending the article URL and the message, the email sent contains the code of the forward section.
