Critical Tinkerer commentedI can confirm that JQuery Update fixed the problem for me.
I found that enabling the Localization Client caused both my Admin Menu Dropdown and JQuery Menu to fail and the Translate Text button simply didn't respond. JQuery Update fixed the problems.

gábor hojtsyWell, I have it working without jQuery Update. I think you probably had other JS that was broken and required jquery_update. Or maybe Drupal core got its jQuery updated and now works better with l10n_client. Core certainly got some jQuery updates. Looks like no other confirmations, so marking closed.
