roleassign.module may be worth investigating. This module (User Register Role URL) has had no CVS activity since March of 08.

Hey Very,

Thanks for the suggestion. I finally figured out that autoroleassign.module does the job perfectly. I had passes it over several times thinking it wouldn't but it does.

I contacted the author and suggested he add it in his description.

Thanks, shunshifu, for identifying that Auto Role Assign includes the functionality of this module.

I have indicated on this module's node that it is deprecated in favor of Auto Role Assign.
