No exposure for non admin or contributors

I am trying to use this module to create a few internal categories to make it easy to automatically find related nodes. At the same time I don't want any exposure of these categories for either anonymous or authenticated visitors. I only want admin and content contributors to be able to use them.

However, Drupal still create the teaser list pages for them and they are accessible by everyone. How can I avoid this?
