Releases for User status change notifications

This will almost certainly be the last official release of this module. All of the functionality provided by this module is now in 6.x Drupal core (see #144859 for details). There have only been a few minor cosmetic fixes in this release, so it seems to be quite stable. Changes since 5.x-1.1:

• #156708: Fixed minor typo in error message.
• #156593 by Standart: Allow sites to translate default mail content.
• #186261 by Standart and dww: Changed default message texts to be more like core, reordered some settings checkboxes, and fixed a few form descriptions and labels to be more accurate and (hopefully) clear.
• #186818 by Standart: Moved settings page to admin/user/user_status under "User management" which is a more appropriate menu location.
• #186818 by Standart: Minor text improvement for admin UI.

Changes since 5.x-1.0:

• #112297: Added a setting to control password reset and %password token availability in activation email. Most sites will prefer to just use 1-time login URLs, so the password reset isn't needed or desired.
• #125176: The settings for this module now appear in the "By Module" administration panel.

Changes since 4.7.x-1.1:

• #66936, #61498: Fixed a bug in the handling of 1-time login URLs which was causing invalid links to be sent to users when their accounts were activated.
• Fixes to admin/settings/user_status help text:
  • %login_uri is the login token used by this module, not %login_url (i vs. l)
  • There is now a check to see if the site_mail setting is valid, and if not, print an error with a link to the site settings page to change it.

Initial stable release compatible with Drupal Core 5.x.

The only other changes since the 4.7.x-1.1 release are some minor improvements to the help text on the settings page (admin/settings/user_status), including a warning if the site-wide E-mail address setting does not contain a valid address, with a link to the page where it is defined.

This branch will mostly be considered stable, but small usability enhancements and features might be added.

This release contains important usability improvements and information workflow changes, primarily targetted for sites that require administrator approval for new accounts.

Changes since 4.7.x-1.1:

• #66936: This module now allows the same substitution variables as user.module. Of special interest, if the account is being activated, the user's password will be reset to a new temporary password so that you can use '%password' and '%login_url' (see also #61498).
• Improved the default email subject and body settings that come with the module to take advantage of the new placeholders.
• Improved the help text on the admin/settings/user_status settings page.
• Updated README.txt and INSTALL.txt updated to reflect the above changes, along with other minor corrections.
• Added $Id$ and $Name$ tags to all files.
• Updated the translation template for all recent changes.

Because the variable placeholders in the email body and subject settings have changed, you must visit the settings page for this module and either reset to the defaults or edit the text of the settings to match the new variables. There is no database upgrade provided to do this for you. However, since so many new variables are available (and since you can finally use this module to ensure that new users only see working temporary login information once the account has been approved), you will almost certainly want to change the wording of these emails, anyway.

Initial stable release compatible with Drupal core 4.6.x. Mostly unchanged since 2006-05-27 (so this release is nearly equivalent to the user_status-4.6.0.tar.gz "releases" since before the new release system), except for a small bug that was recently fixed when using this module in conjunction with the SMTP module (see #107067 for details).

4.6.x support is on its way out, so users are encouraged to upgrade to 4.7.x if possible.
