garyh commentedHi,
I have rebuild node permissions, didnt work.
Cleared my cache, didnt work.
I'm really at a loss and we're almost approaching the launch date. Admin (user/1) IS able to create the content types, however any other user role with the permissions to create new content cannot add content.
I just created a new simple content type called test and enabled permissions for a role, same problem, it is not showing up on the Create Content list.
Funny thing, Admin Menu (http://drupal.org/project/admin_menu) IS showing the content type in its listings under Content - Add Test, however when clicked user is taken to the Create content page showing an incomplete list of content types they should be allowed to enter.
I'm getting desperate at this stage, have spent 2 days now trying anything and everything I can think of, just doesn't make sense to me.

garyh commentedHi,
That isn't the problem i'm experiencing, this issue is that users who have the permission to ADD content types cannot do so. The content type they have been assigned permission to create is not in the Create Content list.
I have even set up a new profile as a test which enabled every possible item for the entire site in Access Control and put a test user into it, and still, that user cannot add the content types.

ainigma32 commentedJust to be sure can you check the permissions on input formats? Or did you do that already?

garyh commentedRESOLVED.
Oh my god what a waste of 2 days, lol all the same.
I have organic groups installed, by default my content types were getting tagged as group nodes.
Thanks for the feedback though!
