Pager for taxonomy pages.

I second the request for a page function.

I have a 22 gig database with 650,000 terms on a dedicated server and my server keeps crashing when people click on terms that have 5500+ terms in them.

I have tried using the cache, but it does not help with the large queries.

When Googlebot hits me I am down for the night.

The web host says that it is because i am using too many tables in a join.

Do you think it would be because of this module?

I have found a work-around ... I have installed the boost module so that my entire website is http cached. Solved the problem for the mean time ... thanks!

It turns out you are right ... the software does break before the page can be cached.

I am having tremendous problems. Some of my pages have 5500+ nodes to display the titles of and every time someone goes to those pages, the MySQL dies and takes the whole server with it.

Please help me with a solution for this.

There is a partial fix in the taxonomy -dev version (Jun 16, 2009).

That is, you can now browse by letter. At this point, however, the entire set of terms will still be loaded...

Try using http://www.example.com/taxonomy_vtn/alpha/1/letter(s)

Replace the number 1 by your taxonomy number and the "letters" by one or more 1st letter of your terms (i.e. AB for all the terms that start with AB such as "Absent".
