could someone show me how to customize teaser length?

Also, can I change "story" comment?

1) Go to admin/node/configure and look for "length of trimmed posts." Set it to the value you want.

2) Go to admin/node/configure/types/story and enter the text you want in the Explanation or Submission Guidelines box; this will overwrite the default test.

These options are all accessible under admin > content (then look at the tabs in the center).

Hi,
the minimum number is 200.. i want to be able to change it.

or just display plain title instead.. tks very much

That would require changing the code in the core module, which I don't recommend.

If you just want the title to show up on certain pages, you can edit your theme files to do so. Read up on the Theme Developer's Guide in the Handbook.

HI I'm running core drupal 4.7, and I don't see the options you mentioned. I only see "list" "books" and "search"

any idea what I'm doing wrong?

I think the old instructions were for 4.6.

In Drupal 4.7, these settings are at: admin/settings/node

Look in the menu under settings -> posts
