Insert images from Gallery in content

iamroddo - November 26, 2005 - 23:43

I have recently migrated from Wordpress. I like the flexibility that Drupal has over Wordpress. One thing has been vexing me since the migration, that being how to insert images that I've already uploaded into Gallery. In Wordpress it's possible to insert a link to an image in a Gallery album using the Gallery Wordpress plugin. Is there any way of achieving this in Drupal?

Image Assist I think should

Image Assist I think should do the job, allows you to pick the image file from anywhere on your server.

I think Image Assist doesn't do it

Hi,

AFAIK Image Assist doesn't handle images from gallery2. In the module description you can read "images that have been uploaded through image module, upload module or img_assist". I confess I didn't try it, only trusted in its description.

I believe img_assist reads the files table and gallery module does not create entries in that table for each picture uploaded. This is an assumption, I didn't investigated it.

I'm trying to find out how to access gallery2 images, but still have no idea.

Emiliano.

Image assist can't handle Gallery2 images

Image assist can't handle Gallery2 images. Especially, if they are out site the web root directory. This is standard practice if you want your images secured.

Hello Keizo!
The idea of a g2 filter seems really good!

Any possibility of sharing your code? Please? :-)

Emiliano.
