Friendlist seems to be creating performance issues on my site. I notice significant performance increases when I disable friendlist (don't know why). As a result I'm switching to User Relationships. Can user relationships import from friendlist? Is there a sql script to maybe do this?
Besides the performance it seems like user relationship has more of the features I want moving forward. I'm just looking for hopefully a painless migration path :-) When I started using friendlist user relationships hadn't been ported to 6 yet.
BTW I'm using the latest Drupal V6.

jaydub commentedA minimal migration module is on the task list but nothing ready yet. Check back on this issue for future progress.

TapSkill commentedFriendlist is so weird when it comes to customization, you can't change much of anything without changing the code. UR is a much better module, but it doesn't look as good initially.

igorik commentedhi, this feature would be really greate.
IMHO friendlist stopped evolving, and I would like to change it
to user_relationships..

igorik commentedsome ideas/progress for this feature request?
There are about 800 pages using friendlist, and because friendlist stop evolving, would be great to give them opportunity to move to user relationships which is contiuosly developing and now it is great and better module as friendlist is.
thanks

gallamine commentedAny update on this? Friendlist hasn't been updated in 6 months, it looks like UR is the way to go. A migration path would be awesome.
igorik commentedyes, it would be so great to have way how to migrate from friendlist to user relationships

igorik commentedI would be really happy if new maintainer Alex.k could answer if he will plan to add this feature. Jaydub told that it is on the task list but his last commit was 39 weeks ago. I can partially donate this feature. Can somebody does this feature? Imho it will be not hard, there is needed to explore both database schemas, create relationship in user relationships, and then move data to appropriate places.

daneyuleb commentedYep--with Friendslist evidently dead, and UR going strong, some kind of migration path would be a huge help to all those stranded friendslist'ers.
Subscribing.

hugafish commentedAny progress with this? I would love to convert my site over before it starts getting to big with users. Or maybe it is best just to go ahead and change now before it gets too big and then no longer manageable manually. Any ideas?

alex.k commentedI would be glad to have you all on board with UR, time permitting will look into developing a migration module, but can't give a specific ETA, unfortunately.
hugafish commentedAwesome, no rush on it. These things take time. It's just good to know that this can be done.
Thanks

mrf commentedI am assuming by this point most people have figured out a way off of Friendlist. If someone has code to post feel free to re-open this issue to help out any others who might need this.
